Transport: Transfers can be arranged to/from Airport/Stone Town - $50 each way. Taxis can be secured at the Port or airport for around $30 one way. (Haggling required!) Dalla-dallas (local buses) cost Tsh 500 from the Darajani bus depot near the market (No. 117) For an extra Tsh 2000, you should be able to get the driver to bring you all the way to Shooting Star. Otherwise it's a 15 minute walk by beach or road from the village.

Payment: Full payment 30 days prior to arrival is required to secure bookings. Bank transfer details available on request. Sender collects all charges with regard to transfer fees.Payments made at the hotel should be made in Tanzanian Shillings or GBP£, US$ cash (subject to hotel exchange rates for food and beverage items priced in Tsh) or travellers’ cheques. We do accept Visa and Mastercard which incur a 10% surcharge. In general, however, credit cards are not recommended in Zanzibar as many small businesses won’t accept them and they are subject to 10-15% surcharges throughout the island. It is possible to withdraw cash on credit card from Barclays bank in Stone Town who also has an ATM machine. The best bureau de change facilities are located in Stone Town. They are able to offer more favourable rates than those offered by most hotels, subject to heavy banking charges on foreign exchange.
